Sex Education

  • During the early years, children acquire information, form attitudes and develop skills that are the basis for future learning. We do not teach sex education as a separate subject, however we do have a policy of answering children’s questions in a simple and straightforward way, which will be appropriate to the children’s age and understanding.

Through personal, social and health education and science work children will be guided to use acceptable vocabulary for the various parts of their bodies and will become familiar with health care and hygiene. They will also be taught about animal and plant life cycles at a level appropriate to their age.
